Perfect Pumps

How perfect are these Miu Miu pumps from Net-a-Porter?  The colour would match my rather pale skin perfectly and the height is just right.  I really like the fact that the heel (when seen from a side view) goes straight down at the back nearly perpendiular to the ground.  I just think the simple design is rather clever and could think of thousands of outfits which these beauties would work perfectly with.

Spring Couture 2012

I could not believe how much I fell in love with the Christian Dior collection.  Everything was perfect in my opinion.  The collection consisted mostly of white, black and purple with only a few other colours dappled in between.  Ladylike silhouettes were in abundance whether it be Marie Antoinette style gowns or high necklines and A-line skirts.  Keeping with the feminine theme, another show which I really liked was Elie Saab.  Going for lighter colours and soft textures Saab also added a little sparkle to the pieces.  Again high, modest necklines are what appealed to me and I am particularly fond of the gorgeous wedding gown that was the final showstopper of the presentation.  The pink-tinged dress with capped sleeves and a magnificent wide princess-esque skirt made the dress something that brides everywhere would be dreaming on.  So enough of my ramblings, lets see the images of some of my favourite looks.  The first five are from Dior and the final three from Elie Saab.

Winter Texture

Its the middle of summer here, but it has been raining non-stop and is rather cold.  So I am in the mood to layer up and create super textural outfits, which is much easier to do in winter - I think this is one of the main reasons which I tolerate that horribly cold season.  I am loving faux fur and suede and have just bought a pair of black suede loafers and some cropped black jeans which fit amazingly.  So I cannot wait to wear both when it gets into the cooler months.

Quick fix of Vintage Chanel

I found theis suit and necklace on a site which specialises in vintage couture and accessories.  The suit is Chanel haute couture from the 60s and is such a look-at-me piece (at least it would be if you wore it today).  The necklace which is from the 1995 Spring collection would go so well with the multi-coloured jewelled sandals from one of their more recent collections.

Happy New Year!

The new year puts me in the mood for partying and lots of colourful clothing and accessories.  And one of the main obsesions of my life is shoes - shoes of all shapes, styles and colours.  So I'll start off the year with a photo of some crazy heels I am loving from Net-A-Porter.  I've also set a resolution to post more regularly on here and make time for the blog since I do love it.

1 month to go

Christmas is one month away from today and to say that I was getting excited would be an understatement.  For someone that loves to shop, buying Christmas presents is the perfect excuse to splurge and get out and discover great new gift ideas.  I've collated some of my favourite finds which I myself would love to receive so I'm assuming other people would as well.
Gifts clockwise from top left are: Tiffany & Co charms, Glasshouse Tahaa vanilla and caramel candle (this may just be one of the best things you will ever smell in your life!), Miss Lanvin 32 figure, Yves Saint Laurent classic gloss, Marc Jacobs Cocktail Splash Curacao 300ml, Louis Vuitton bag charm and Christian Louboutin book.

Loving Gossip Girl season five fashion

As the fifth season of Gossip Girl becomes as intense, mysterious and dramatic as ever so do the outfits which the stars wear.  The costume department headed by Eric Daman never disappoint and do extremely well to portray each characters' personality through their attire.  In this week's episode All the Pretty Sources Serena throws Blair a Tiffany's themed bridal shower.  For the event Serena wears an eye-catching, printed Mary Katrantzou dress from the S/S11 collection.  The dress is teamed with an equally eye-catching pair of Christian Louboutin Winter Trash slingbacks.
(And by the way, a Tiffany's themed party is a great idea and allows for the prettiest of decorations.  I must remember this if I ever need a witty but elegant theme for an event.)
